Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Bangkok
Arrival at Bangkok airport where a Spanish-speaking guide will be waiting and transfer to the hotel. Free time until hotel check-in as per availability (rooms are normally available from 2:00 PM). Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2 - Bangkok
After breakfast, visit three of the city’s most popular Buddhist temples. We’ll start at Wat Traimit, located at the edge of Chinatown on Yaowarat Road, near Hualampong train station. Wat Traimit houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha, standing nearly five meters tall and weighing five and a half tons. The tour will continue to Wat Pho, the largest temple in Bangkok. The temple of the enormous Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings is located behind the Temple of the Buddha. It is one of the city’s largest temples and famous for its huge Reclining Buddha that measures 46 meters long and is covered in gold. Next, visit the Royal Palace, undoubtedly the city’s most famous landmark. Built in 1782, it was the residence of the King of Thailand, the royal court, and the administrative seat of government for 150 years. The Grand Palace of Bangkok is an ancient building that continues to impress visitors with its beautiful architecture and details. Within the complex is Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (officially known as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram), regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand, housing the most revered Buddha carved from a single block of jade. Day 3 - Bangkok - Chiang Rai
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Chiang Rai. Welcome by our Spanish-speaking guide. Continue by minibus and visit the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Myanmar (formerly Burma), Laos, and Thailand meet on the Mekong River. Enjoy a 30-minute traditional boat ride observing the daily life of the people of Laos. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the House of Opium before visiting the villages of the ethnic minorities Akha and Yao. Visit the village of the famous giraffe women. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 4 - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will transfer to the pier and take a pleasant traditional boat ride on the Kok River, visiting the Karen tribes living in bamboo huts deep in the jungle. We continue with a visit to Wat Rong Suea Tean, also known as the Blue Temple, another unusual modern Buddhist temple distinguished by its intense blue color and elaborate statues. Next, we will visit the famous White Temple of Wat Rong Khun. After the visit, we will head from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai by road (3 hrs). Arrival in Chiang Mai and lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the temple complex Wat Doi Suthep, the most famous in Chiang Mai, located at the top of a small hill 15 km northwest of the city. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Day 5 - Chiang Mai
In the morning, we will visit some local craft factories. Also, a visit to a wood sculpture factory where it is possible to buy Burmese antiques. Departure to the Mae Sa Valley visiting the orchid farm. Lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we will transfer to the elephant sanctuary to learn about these animals, and carry out various activities including feeding them and taking a bath, an unforgettable experience. Kantoke dinner. Return to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 6 - Chiang Mai - Phuket – Phi Phi
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Chiang Mai airport to connect with your flight to Phuket or shared transfer by van and boat to the hotel on Phi Phi Island. Accommodation at the hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast.
Day 7 - Phi Phi
Free day. Accommodation at the hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast.
Day 8 - Phi Phi Island
