Travel Itinerary
Day 01 - Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and Larco Museum of Cultures
Arrival in Lima. Welcome and assistance with your transfer to the hotel. An exclusive and intensive tour of the Historic Center of Lima will allow us to appreciate and admire the architectural relics that are part of ancient Lima, recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Santo Domingo Convent marks the beginning of this magnificent experience. Here, the University of San Marcos, the oldest in America, was founded. Inside, you’ll find the oldest choir stalls in the country and a library with 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century, of invaluable historical value. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, next to the Government and Municipal Palace, we enter the Cathedral, a gem of Lima’s history, filled with invaluable colonial works. Leaving the Center, we head to the Larco Museum, which offers a clear vision of the cultures that populated Ancient Peru. We will be amazed by the gold artifacts, textiles, and erotic ceramics, part of a collection that introduces us to the worldview of ancient Peruvians. The museum’s storeroom will be open during our visit to appreciate the artistic expressions encapsulated in their ceramics.
Day 02 - Cusco, Capital of the Empire
