Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Nueva Delhi
Arrival in New Delhi. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 - Nueva Delhi
Breakfast. City tour starting with a panoramic view of the Red Fort, then visiting Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, located in the heart of Old Delhi. We’ll visit Gandhi Smriti (also known as Birla House), the house where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life (on Mondays, Raj Ghat will be visited instead), the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Later, a city tour including the Agrasen Ki Baoli water temple, a nationally important archaeological monument, followed by a panoramic view of the governmental buildings along Raj Path, a grand avenue lined with parks, and a visit to the imposing India Gate. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visits to the Sikh temple and Birla temple, ending our tour with the impressive 72-meter tall Qutub Minaret. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 - NUEVA DELHI - KALAKHO – JAIPUR
Breakfast. Morning departure by road to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan state. Arrival at Kalakho where lunch is included at Umaid Kalakho Palace which spreads over 20 acres of greenery, designed to capture the beauty of yesteryears’ Mughal palace gardens. Continue to Jaipur, known as the “Pink City” due to the color of its houses, built in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II, after whom the city is named. In the evening, visit a Hindu temple to witness the Aarti ceremony, a Hindu religious ritual. After the ceremony, transfer to Shahpura House Palace for dinner. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 4 - JAIPUR (Amber)
Breakfast. Morning excursion to Amber Fort by jeep, visiting the palace’s rooms and halls, famous for their exquisite design and decoration. The main entrance to the Amber Palace is impressive; adorned with relief work and floral motifs, with the elephant-god Ganesh above the door, and several latticed stone windows from which the women could watch without being seen. In the afternoon, visit the Jantar Mantar observatory, built in 1700 and still futuristic in appearance, the City Palace or Maharaja’s Palace, the Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds with its majestic pink and white facade and numerous balconies filled with almost a thousand windows and lattices for observing the outside without being seen. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.
Day 5 - JAIPUR - ABHANERI - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA
Breakfast. Road trip to Agra, visiting the village of Abhaneri en route, home to one of India’s hidden wonders, the Chand Baori stepwell and the Harsha Mata Temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. Then, head to Fatehpur Sikri, the imperial capital and last city built by Akbar. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Agra, arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 - AGRA - NUEVA DELHI
Very early in the morning, visit the world’s most famous architectural monument, the Taj Mahal, built between 1631 and 1654 on the banks of the Yamuna River by the Muslim emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his favorite wife, Arjumand Bano Begum, better known as Mumtaz Mahal. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Visit Agra, including the Red Fort, built in red sandstone by the Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1573. Continue with a visit to the Itimad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb, known as “the little Taj,” built between 1622 and 1628 on the right bank of the Yamuna River. Departure to New Delhi by road. En route, stop at the Hindu temple of Akshardham, carved with over 20,000 figures and floral motifs, animals, Hindu deities, and decorated in gold. Arrival in New Delhi. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 - NUEVA DELHI - VARANASI
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Varanasi. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride where we can admire some of the temples located on the banks of the Ganges River, the facades of palaces of great kings and “Ashrams”, residences of holy men. At sunset, from the boat on the river, we will attend the AARTI ceremony taking place at the ghats. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8 - VARANASI - NUEVA DELHI
Early in the morning, before sunrise, transfer to the ghats on the banks of the Ganges River where we can observe from a boat, the baths of the hundreds of pilgrims who come daily to perform purification rituals. Then, a walking tour through the streets of the old city. Panoramic visit of the Mosque of Aurangzeb, the Golden Temple, and the Durga Temple. Return to the hotel for breakfast. On the way to the airport, visit Sarnath, one of the four holy cities of Buddhism, being the place where Buddha first preached Buddhism. Flight departure to New Delhi. Arrival and assistance to accompany you from the domestic to the international airport and end of our services. IMPORTANT: It is necessary to book a departure flight from New Delhi, starting at 10:00 PM.
