Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Beijing
Arrival in Beijing. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Beijing is one of the oldest and largest cities in the world, featuring a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, from imperial palaces to modern shopping centers. As the cultural and political capital of the country, it is an essential part of any itinerary in China. Free time for the rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 -Beijing (Forbidden City)
Breakfast. Departure to the National Grand Theatre where we will make a brief stop to observe its spectacular architectural design, featuring a titanium and glass dome surrounded by an artificial lake that reflects its symmetry. We will continue with a city tour: the Imperial Palace, better known as the “Forbidden City”, a complex with more than 980 traditional-style buildings, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and Tiananmen Square, built during the Ming dynasty, and one of the largest in the world, has become a universal symbol of China. Lunch at a typical local food restaurant. Next, visit the Summer Palace and its extensive park, exclusively used in times of the Qing Dynasty by members of the Imperial House. Return to the city to enjoy a tasting at the Tea House and stroll through the modern Sanlitun neighborhood, with a lively nightlife, varied gastronomic offerings, and a large shopping center. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Beijing (Great Wall)
Breakfast. Depart from Beijing to visit one of the new seven wonders of the modern world, the Great Wall of China, initially built as protection against the invasion of nomadic tribes from the north, it was during the 15th and 16th centuries when the Ming emperors made the wall continuous over 7,000 Km, currently crossing a total of seven provinces. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Beijing to visit the Temple of Heaven, one of China’s largest sacred sites, built during the Ming dynasty in 1420, was the place where the emperor thanked heaven for the harvested crops and prayed for the next ones. In the Temple of Heaven, nothing is casual, and each construction has symbolism for Chinese culture. It is surrounded by a large park where Beijing residents practice Tai-chi, children play, and musicians entertain with typical string instruments. Finally, we will visit a Pearl factory. Welcome dinner, where we will taste the delicious “Peking duck”. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 - Beijing – Xi'an
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the station to depart by high-speed train to Xi’an (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED, except in the -AIR option). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Xi’an, a city marking the eastern end of the Silk Road and home to the famous Terracotta Army. Arrival in Xi’an and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5 - Xi'an (Terracotta Warriors Museum)
Breakfast. The city is known for the discovery of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi’s Tomb, which contained more than 6,000 life-sized Terracotta Warriors and Horses figures. The visit includes the hall where the terracotta figures over 2,000 years old are exhibited. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda (without climbing), this curious pagoda is erected by levels following the architectural style of Indian Buddhist stupas. To end the day, walk through the famous Muslim Quarter, a long street of food stalls, restaurants, and shops with a deep Muslim cultural atmosphere. Overnight stay.
Day 6 - Xi'an - Shanghai (Yuyuan Garden)
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and departure by flight to Shanghai. Arrival in Shanghai and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Yuyuan Garden, designed in the 16th century and built to resemble the imperial gardens. It is a tranquil place full of traditional pavilions and ponds with varied vegetation and rock formations. Next, visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which contains two Burmese Buddha statues carved from a single piece of white jade. Afterward, walk along the Bund, a 2 km pedestrian area along the west bank of the Huangpu River, offering the best views of Pudong, the city’s financial district. The day’s last stroll will be through the Xiantiandi neighborhood, surprising for its alleys and Shikumen-style houses, a typical Shanghai construction style from 1890 that merges southern China houses of the time and the Victorian style. In this neighborhood, there are Western-style bars and some of Shanghai’s most refined restaurants. Overnight stay.
Day 7 - Shanghai
Breakfast. Free day to explore the city on our own, stroll, shop, or take an optional visit like the excursion to the water town of Zhujiajiao, known as the “Venice of Shanghai”, it is an example of the historical cities of China with its well-preserved river, canals, bridges, and houses from the Ming dynasty. Overnight stay.
Day 8 - Shanghai – Hong Kong
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the airport to take your flight to Hong Kong, a commercial capital and gateway to Asia. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 9 - Hong Kong (Repulse Bay)
Breakfast. Departure for a city tour. We’ll start at Aberdeen Fishermen’s Wharf, once a quiet fishing village, now a thriving city well-known for its magnificent floating restaurants. In this fishing village, we will enjoy a ride in a sampan (traditional fishing boat). Then we will stop at a jewelry store where we can appreciate local craftsmanship. We continue the visit to Repulse Bay, which has one of Hong Kong’s most popular beaches. To finish, we will visit Victoria Peak, turned into the island’s most prestigious residential area, and from its summit, a superb view overlooking the islands of the South China Sea can be seen. Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 10 - Hong Kong
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to catch the flight to your next destination. End of our services.
