Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech
Arrival transfer and accommodation.
Day 2 - Marrakech
Breakfast. Free morning with optional activities (not included). Lunch at a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the city of Marrakech, starting with the Koutoubia Mosque, once used as a library and now a symbol of the city. Continue the tour with a visit to the sumptuous Bahia Palace, built in the 19th century by hundreds of artisans from Fez. From the Mellah (Jewish quarter) and through the Kissaria square, you will reach the Jamâa El-Fna square, a living museum and intangible cultural heritage site where storytellers, snake charmers, jugglers, dancers, etc., create a true court of miracles. Then enter the souk and its narrow streets filled with shops, workshops, and terraces, discovering the guilds of carpenters, sharpeners, shoemakers, etc. Return to the hotel and accommodation. If desired (not included), you can attend a dinner show at the Chez Ali – La Fantasía complex.
Day 3 - Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou
Breakfast. Free morning. At noon, depart for Aït Ben Haddou via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,256 m) in the High Atlas, considered the first gateway to the Sahara, connecting Marrakech with Ouarzazate. Arrival in Aït Ben Haddou in the afternoon to visit the most famous Kasbah in Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most used sets by Hollywood. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.
Day 4 - Aït Ben Haddou - Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Breakfast. Today, explore the valleys of Kelaa M’Gouna, famous for rose cultivation, and Boumalne-Dadès, formed by a large network of gorges, ideal for hiking and climbing enthusiasts. We will stop to visit the Toudra Gorge, which reaches 300 meters in height. Then, depart for the Sahara. According to legend: “When a wealthy family refused to help a poor woman and her child, God, offended, buried them under mounds of sand 50 km from Erfoud.” These are now the famous Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrival, dinner, and accommodation. Note: You can choose to stay in a hotel or a tent in the dunes, as long as it is indicated at the time of booking. Subject to availability.
Day 5 - Merzouga – Erfoud – Fez
Breakfast. Free morning with the possibility of an optional (not included) 4×4 excursion in the gigantic Erg Chebbi dunes with lunch at an oasis. Head to Fez, crossing the Middle Atlas and its changing landscapes. This long day will be marked by the rocky landscapes of Er-Rich and its palm groves, the plains of the Middle Atlas, the forests of the Azrou region, and the snowy mountains of Ifrane. Arrival in Fez, the religious capital of Morocco. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 - Fez
Breakfast. Depart for the first of the imperial cities: Fez, the intellectual and religious capital of Morocco. The tour will begin with a panoramic tour to visit the Royal Palace and its seven gates or Dar el Makhzen until reaching the medina of Fez el-Bali, the oldest and largest in Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This site comprises 785 mosques and over 2,000 squares, streets, and alleys representing a labyrinthine journey back in time. From Bab Boujloud to Place Seffarine, you will travel through centuries from the 9th to the 19th century. Along the way, you will discover the structure of these narrow streets and the various constructions that make up the medina walls, as well as its guilds of artisans and their quarters such as tanners and tailors. You will visit a madrasa and finish with the sound of potters hammering copper as they did hundreds of years ago. Lunch at a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, we recommend an optional excursion (not included) to Meknes, the last of the imperial cities, to enjoy a mint tea at sunset in El Hedim square, in front of the Bab el-Mansour gate. Accommodation.
Day 7 - Fez - Tétouan - Chefchaouen
Breakfast. Depart for Tétouan, nicknamed “the white dove.” Upon arrival, take a city tour to explore the main sites of interest such as Moulay el Mehdi square, the Spanish extension, and Hassan II square, where the Royal Palace is located. Then cross the Luneta and the Jewish quarter to end up in the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, at the Bab el Okla gate. Then, depart for Chaouen or Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, stroll through its whitewashed blue streets, discover its sights and history, until reaching Outta el Hammam square, where you will have some free time.
Day 8 - Chefchaouen - Rabat – Tanger
Breakfast. Depart for Rabat, an imperial city and the administrative capital of the country, as well as the official residence of the royal family. Arrival and visit its main sites: the Hassan Tower, an unfinished mosque dominating the esplanade with more than 200 columns, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum, built in memory of the sultan who gained the country’s independence and whose colorful royal guard protects the entrance to the monument on horseback. In the afternoon, depart for Tangier. Arrival, dinner, and accommodation.
Day 9 - Casablanca
Breakfast. We will transfer to Casablanca where we will take a city tour that includes a visit to the Hassan II Mosque.
Day 10 - Casablanca
Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
