Travel Itinerary
Oct 31 - City Tour and Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the city’s Historic Center to begin a walk through its streets lined with beautiful buildings, testaments to Mexico’s viceregal glory, such as the Palace of Fine Arts, to name the most famous. Continue to the main square, better known as the Zócalo, where City Hall, the Templo Mayor, and the National Palace—the presidential headquarters—bear witness to the intersection of the pre-Hispanic and colonial worlds. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral (considered the largest in Latin America), which houses the famous Black Christ. This tour cannot miss the Monument to the Foundation, a sculptural representation of the arrival of the Aztecs in Mexico-Tenochtitlán. Free lunch (not included).
Visit the most anticipated spot on the tour, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Rio de Lajas). It was in this sacred place that on December 12th, the indigenous Juan Diego, a direct descendant of the Aztec civilization, had the apparition of the Dark Virgin (the lupita, as Mexicans call her)… Time to attend mass, time to buy souvenirs of the Dark Virgin, and time to tour the various temples.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Nov 1 - Teotihuacan - Puebla
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Teotihuacán (the place where men transform into gods and women worship their gods). We will then visit the various temples, including the Temple of the Moon and the Sun (dedicated to the major stars), the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl (the butterfly bird), and the Temple of the Puma. Free lunch (not included).
Departure, we will head to the state of Puebla, observing the Popocatépetl and Ixtlacihuatl volcanoes en route. We will visit the state capital, with its colonial architecture decorated mostly with tiles. We will see its beautiful Cathedral, the Main Plaza, the Chapel of the Rosary, and the Temple of Santo Domingo.
Overnight at the hotel.
Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride in Teotihuacán ($210 p/p):
Start your adventure at 6:30 a.m. with a coffee break while watching the balloons being inflated. Step into the basket and enjoy the exciting takeoff, accompanied by a breathtaking view of the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Capture unforgettable photos, admire the landscape alongside dozens of balloons, and toast with sparkling wine in the air—a tradition that has accompanied every balloon flight since 1783. To finish, enjoy a delicious breakfast included in this magical experience.
Nov 2 - Puebla - San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, depart for San Miguel de Allende. As picturesque as it is cosmopolitan, this city has captivated visitors with its narrow cobblestone streets and plazas lined with laurel trees, becoming a destination where artists and writers, both foreign and Spanish, have decided to make this charming place, located along the Silver Route, their home. The tour will allow you to admire the Cathedral, unique in its neo-Gothic style, the birthplace of Ignacio Allende, and the Oratory.
Lunch (not included). Afternoon to enjoy the Day of the Dead festivities. Overnight stay.
Nov 3 : San Miguel de Allende- Guanajuato- San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to another of the great sites of colonialism and independence: the city of Guanajuato (where the hills resemble frogs).
A labyrinth of alleys and small squares offer visitors the magic and mystery that intertwines history with the legends that every corner of this viceregal city holds. Free lunch (not included)
Continue to visit Dolores Hidalgo, this Pueblo Magico (Magical Town), a Historical Heritage Site and the birthplace of Independence. It preserves secrets, such as the Cathedral, a silent witness that keeps within its walls the sound of Father Miguel Hidalgo’s voice when he gave the cry for independence. At the scheduled time, departure to Atotonilco, a devout town and pilgrimage center with a fortified sanctuary of the same name, dating from the 18th century. Free dinner.
Overnight at the hotel.
Nov 4 : San Miguel de Allende -Queretaro- Mexico

Nov 5 : Chapultepec Castle - Frida Kahlo Museum - Xochimilco
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to visit Chapultepec Castle, a historic building of great symbolic value for Mexicans. Construction began in 1785 during the reign of Bernardo de Gálvez, the viceroy of New Spain. Originally intended as a vacation home, it has been adapted over time for various uses: it served as a military college, the imperial residence of Maximilian and Carlota (1864-1867), the presidential residence, and, since 1939, it has housed the National Museum of History.
Visit Coyoacán
Begin your experience in the picturesque neighborhood of Coyoacán, visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum, or exploring downtown to see the Church of San Juan el Bautista, the house of Hernán Cortés, and the monument to the founding of the neighborhood.
We continue to the traditional Xochimilco (Place of Flowers) where we will enjoy a pleasant trajinera ride. During the tour, we will be served a typical local dish accompanied by mariachis and tequila.
